DFL FEMINIST CAUCUS PRINCIPLES

We support the following 13 principles:

Support the Bill of Rights, especially freedom of speech, freedom of press, and
separation of church and state

Support the Federal Equal Rights Amendment and implementing legislation

Support Human Rights legislation and strict enforcement of anti-discrimination laws

Support the 1973 Supreme Court decision on abortion and its implementation

Support contraceptives research, education, education, and access to birth control

Support comprehensive child cares services

Support access to food, housing, and health care for all

Support economic justice for women at home and in the work force

Support reallocation of public resources to meet human needs and protect the
environment

Support reforms that make political parties more democratic

Support feminists for elective and appointive offices at all levels of government

Support comprehensive services for victims of domestic and sexual assault,
accountability for offenders, and initiatives to prevent violence

Support actively only those candidates who support these principles
